There was a Rayman Estate and Rayman School about where Whampoa Estate now sits, next to Whampoa Drive. Jalan Kebun Limau was connected to Towner Road, but this has now been disconnected as Jalan Kebun Limau was cleared to make way for the Central Expressway (CTE).
There used to be a Rayman Ave and Rayman Estate in the area that were named in October 1933 after Lazarus Rayman, a member of the Legislative Council of the Straits Settlements. These areas were all cleared to make way for the CTE.
