Built at a cost of $1.5 million over 4 hectares of land, Queenstown Sports Complex was completed in August 1970. Its facilities include a 400-metre bitumen running track, a football field, five swimming pools, games courts and a gallery with a seating capacity for 3000 spectators. Since 1970, the complex has hosted major sports events such as the Pesta Sukan in 1970, and the National Day Parades in 1975, 1981 and 1983.
