College of Medicine Building

The College of Medicine Building, opened on 16 February 1926, was part of the King Edward VII College of Medicine. Here, local students were trained in western medicine. Philanthropists Tan Jiak Kim and Tan Chay Yan funded the construction of this neo-classical style building designed by Major P.H.Keys. The bas reliefs were designed by Italian sculptor C.R.Nolli to depict healing.
