The Peranakan Museum

The building was formerly Tao Nan School established in 1906 by the Hokien Clan Association for the local Chinese.

Marker Text:
Established in 1906, Tao Nan School was one of the first six modern Chinese schools in Singapore. In 1982, it moved to Marine Parade. The building was restored and opened as the Asian Civilisations Museum, Armenian Street in 1997 until 2005. It was redeveloped in 2008 and re-opened as the Peranakan Museum.
