

Little India, characterises by its unique blend of old world charm and modernisation, is the second in the Fun on Foot series. The first Fun on Foot, held at the Civic District in 2003, focused on the nine major religions practiced in Singapore and the architectural heritage of Singapore. Fun on Foot, Little India held in the subsequent year, highlighted the cultural practices of the Indians as well as the various communities living in Little India. As you walk the streets of Little India, discover the eclectic mix of Hindu temples, Chinese temples, mosques and churches. You will find Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, the first temple constructed to venerate the Hindu deity, Kali, the oldest Chinese Buddhist temple Leong San See, the Abdul Gafoor Mosque the place of worship for Indian Muslims, and Kampong Kapor Church also known as "The Straits Chinese Methodist Church".
