This established traditional Chinese medicine shop, Poh Onn Tong Medical Hall, is run by a family who moved here from Johore in the 1960s when they heard about Queenstown, the upcoming satellite town. The wooden cabinet storing the herbs date from the 1960s. Each drawer holds nine tins of herbs, with the names of the herbs carved on each lid. Faced with competition and dwindling business, the shop now sells household goods on top of traditional Chinese medicine.
